Hidden Juniper

The dumb fish cloaked the king’s heart in rich swan’s feathers
He was delighted to see his fortunes in the mirror that spoke the truth
Then the mirror entrusted him with a secret
The torches light crept around the dark corners
They painted the dull journey

The bird was alive its eyes shivered like glass
Its arms danced and the feathers were blown off
Swans feathers settle on grass in a meadow of juniper
The heavens stole the secrets that wept in the meadow

They shone like rich sunbeams and carried out their masters wishes
